Freebies and we got a new car.

  • Free-ware to download. Volumouse provides you a quick and easy way to control the sound volume on your system - simply by rolling the wheel of your wheel mouse. It allows you to define a set of rules for determining when the wheel will be used for changing the sound volume. For example: You can configure Volumouse to use your mouse wheel for volume control when the Alt key is hold down, when the left mouse button is down, when the mouse cursor is over the taskbar, and so on... I didn't download since I like mine the way it is. But, if you don't here is an option for you for free. It was also in Pc world magazine.

  • Okay, go to the delmonte site again. If you signed up for the delmonte booklet last week...then you will be registered already for the site. As soon as you log in it will tell you if you are one of the first 50,000 people and if so you get a can of their no salt added tomatoes for free... I was one. So looks like I will be getting a free can:)

I do not know if this is one of those smell sheets or an actually vial. The smell sheets you can still use if you rub them all over your wrists and behind the ears kind of thing. But, you only get one use and all that hard work of filling out for it. Just says Thank you after submit.

I wanted to share with you guys what we did today. I know I have said that we are on a debt free journey for over three years now. I am a honest person so here it goes:

Well, Barry came to the sad realization that Eunice, our big early 80's Chevy truck, is going out on us. We have known for a while that the transmission needed to be replaced. We had it in the shop last year and fixed as much as we could without having to totally replace it. So now the truck is just not wanting to go in gear and such. We are afraid it will leave him on the side of the road. Our van has also been slowly tearing up. Though, it has never left us beside the road. But, with all the things that need replacing and now the front end going out it would cost us a LOT more to fix it than what we paid for it. So our plans have always been to just save up and buy another car outright. With the truck no longer drivable and not knowing how much longer the van actually has. Barry set down at the kitchen table and began sorting through our budget. He thought it would be best for us if we found a dependable used car with a good warranty. So we looked at a few and then we were offered a great deal on a 02 Chevy trail blazer. The payments are affordable, warranty is wonderful, and we will pay it off in 2 yrs. We got it from a buy here pay here type of car lot. We made sure and were very careful not to buy beyond our means. We don't want a pretty car and can't afford the gas to put into it, eat, provide a shelter, or even do things as a family. We realized that we do need a more reliable way of going. Lilly has speech therapy and gymnastics every week. We also have to take her three hours away to visit the Children's hospital clinic in January and then in February we are all going as a family to Raleigh, NC for Barry's training on the new MRI machine they are installing. Then in January Lilly has her Autism appointments. If she does have Autism we are told she has to go behavioral therapy. So yeah we could use something dependable. Barry researched our whole buying process down to what we should buy. We were blessed to be able to see the cars online that this lot had to offer. He made sure that the blazer was rear wheel drive. Like he said if we are going to buy something else...we need to make sure it will last us for years to come and only make one investment. The truck has been very well taken care of. All and all we actually got an AWESOME deal! The greatest part is it will not break us and that was most important to us. We also wanted to scale down this time due to all the gas prices go up and down. I thought it would worry me getting something that was not paid for. But, it has actually let us breathe a sigh of relief knowing that we now have a really good dependable way to go. We prayed so hard on this and felt like the Lord moved us to our decision. So far we are really happy with the trail blazer. It has a lot of cool things that we have not figured out yet. We did do a little joy riding today.

So here is a picture of our new car.
